The Sr. Director Supply Chain, Midstream will be located in Dallas, TXand is responsible for strategically managing over $150 MM in non-hydrocarbon, 3rd party spend across Deleks Midstream, Logistics and Rail operations. The role manages key supply chain processes and resources to ensure the safe, reliable, cost-effective delivery of goods and services in alignment with Deleks strategic objectives and capital expenditure plans. Is responsible to develop and execute on SCM strategy by optimizing spend, leveraging the supply base, minimizing risk and ensuring compliance to regulatory standards to meet the needs of our midstream business. In addition to being accountable for execution and delivery for all operational procurement across Midstream, Logistics and Rail Operations, the Sr. Director Supply Chain, Midstream is responsible for effective management of all integration activities related to the Supply Chain, while creating and sustaining a high performing culture, in line with Deleks core values.
Leads a team of Supply Chain professionals to support Deleks Midstream, Logistics and Rail operations to manage spend, reduce risk and create a competitive advantage by optimizing the total cost of ownership. As a key SCM leader, the Sr. Director Supply Chain, Midstream must ensure the team understands our vision and expectations for performance; is trained to use our systems and tools; empowered to identify and drive improvements across the supply chain.
Builds credibility with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the adoption of center-led sourcing and procurement initiatives. Ensures collaborative interaction to understand operational needs, while providing strategic thought leadership to the overall business.
Establish and execute on annual goals and objectives , including business improvement goals and stretch goals that enable the organization to take costs out of SCM operations and optimize capital spend in projects. Contribute to the Supply Chain 5 year plan, in coordination with corporate objectives and overall Supply Chain goals, and in alignment with the Midstream 5 year plan and annual business deliverables. Develop and manage cost center budgets accordingly.
Direct line accountability for overseeing Operational Procurement across Midstream, while delivering Strategic initiatives in collaboration with Category Management, ensuring to balance local spend vs. leveraging category spend to maximize value to the Midstream Segment. Develops and strengthens the talent pipeline across the SC Function to enhance capability and ensure succession plans.
Establishes and maintains measurable performance metrics for all levels of procurement activities to include (but not limited to) spend under management, compliance to category strategies, internal order placement performance, buyer activity levels, financial (AP) performance, and Value Creation. Drives data integrity with our systems through data standardization and consistency.
Enable continuous improvement through standardized lean practices and procedures for all key processes within the Sr. Director Supply Chain, Midstream organization, including contracting strategy, sourcing, supply risk management, contractor management and procure-to-pay. Drive procurement optimization through increased use of automation and business improvement methods, specifically the use of standardized systems and efficient processes. Ensure that all programs implemented adhere to legal, compliance, and audit requirements.
Drives efficiency in the P2P processes by increasing the use of supplier catalogs and other programs such as supplier-managed inventories, VMI, etc. Drives the team to leverage the capabilities of SAP to reduce transactions, gain visibility to demand forecasts and spend intelligence. Promotes the use of SAP and other SC tools within the Midstream.
Ensure all staff actively collaborate across SCM, other support Functions and the business units to ensure alignment and coordination. Continuously improve the teams understanding of field operations and ensure we continuously strive to leverage spend across the enterprise.
